Twitter has been awful communicating around this. I've read the docs for their "replacement" tech many times and still am not sure if it is even possible to use it for what I need.

Btw they tweeted last month that this is going to be delayed but all their documentation still says it's going away on June 19th because Twitter dev rel is apparently on fire https://twitter.com/ckolderup/status/996186412620771328?s=19

Update: Twitter vastly improved their docs. Botmakers should take a look at the new migration guide for user/site streams. Looks like it will be totally possible to keep a bot that replies to follows or @'s alive. https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/accounts-and-users/subscribe-account-activity/migration/us-ss-migration-guide #botALLY

August 16th is the new deadline to migrate. I will probably write a migration guide of my own; I might even provide a shim and/or make a PR for the twit npm library to minimize migration work
