I love how this game really encapsulates the “Game in 15 minutes” concept. I find myself playing it over and over to have new adventures with spacefaring creatures!

I just played the demo for a bit. I kinda like it, but it hasn’t really sucked me in yet. I find it highly annoying how it changes the view when you get to selecting the rotation of your ship. Several times I got fooled by the perspective change and shot at the wrong ship.

I don’t know if the full version is any different but I found the Beam Frigates to be way to much of a cakewalk. They’re big, slow, and heavily armored and they can’t shoot until you’re in range. They’ll both go for a single target and then you just lead them around the map shooting at them from both directions until they’re dust. This is why big ships ALWAYS end up with smaller escorts.

Other than that it seemed like quite a fun game. I wish they told you how long the full version campaign vs the demo was though.

I think the distinction is: PC offers a mouse, which is better for navigating. Xbox offers easier hotseat multiplayer.

Great review, this game looks right up my alley (I’ve been meaning to pick it up for some time.) Any perspective on which platform is better?
