We’re not being condescending to aspiring developers. We’re being condescending to a particular kind of aspiring developer: the type of person who approaches an established developer and tries to pitch a game. For the love of all things holy, we don’t want your game pitches. We have plenty of our own ideas.

This panel is meant to give constructive advice to people who want to pursue their dream and make the game they’ve always wanted to.

It seems to be the “in” thing for people who are lucky enough to be in the industry to be condescending to aspiring developers. It seems like developers are always boasting about being a tight knit group of people with mutual respect, yet they spout crap like this.
