I resent the idea that indie games should be small and compete on popularity. This road leads nowhere. The best games live forever. Quality will ultimately win over quantity of sales.

What's the most accomplished indie game? Lets just say it's Dwarf Fortress (by volume and quality of gameplay). DF's developer lives on donations alone!
