Thanks for pointing that out.

I’m really glad you found this transcript, because I’m just ramping up my own game-world networking barrage. Very useful information, much of it basic, some of it invaluable (the whole business card topic, for example), but all of it is good.

A comment or two:
You use the word “actually” a lot. And I mean a LOT! And also the term “sort of”. While reading it I had considered just removing all instances of those words, b/c it felt distracting.
This paragraph is a good example:

So I was sort of unemployed for a while, but I sort of got up off the couch and started my job hunt, and I ended up moving. I was actually in Worcester, which is sort of in the middle of nowhere, and I ended up moving to Boston. This is actually a really important thing that I tell all students: Sometimes it actually makes more sense to move to a place where there are lots of game developers first, because people are more likely to just higher new people local. It is a risk, it’s a huge risk, and I wouldn’t tell this to anybody else in any other industry, but I think it is actually a risk that pays off.

Other than that, your talks are solid, and you make phenomenal use of the golden rule of Q&A: always repeat the question back to the audience. You win the golden star.

Keep posting more transcripts, when available. Oooh, presentation materials would be interesting too.

Best,
Savid
