Am I the only person who reads about the Large Hadron Collider having 6 days until it goes live and imagining having just one more turn to complete that Secret Project?

Patrick August 2, 2008 at 5:49 pm: I’d be thinking that if I wasn’t holding my breath for True Vacuum. In the best case scenario, where there’s no exotic catastrophe, we’re still in a brave new world of grid computing and physics modeling after that date.

They’re not commencing high-speed collisions for a few months, testing is what begins soon. Still, we should all throw a party the night before, just in case we’re all thrown into quantum warp.
