I just purchased a new domain name and moved my personal website over to it. Behold, Internet, the glory of Tiny Subversions.
Incidentally, I am hosting this on TextDrive, which I discovered via Jon Aquino. I was intrigued from the moment I saw their specs page. They give me shell access!

Yee-haw! TextDrive is the Mercedes of web hosting (so I hear). A little more expensive, yes, but first-class service (and specs, as you mention).
Also two other cool things:
- it’s the official host of Ruby on Rails
- If you log into the shell with Putty, emacs makes a great way to get around
- OK three things! It’s got a great web interface (“webmin”) for setting up cron jobs
- OK four things! The TextDrive forums are great. And there’s this one admin (Jason) who seems to be helpfully answering everyone’s questions. If your question isn’t answered, you can ask the admins directly (this is called “submitting a ticket”) – when I did this they got back to me within a day. Awesome!
Jonathan’s most recent post gave me an interesting idea. I wondered what would receive the top Google PageRank score for the phrase “click here.” Unsurprisingly the first page is mostly software download links. But of note is that I’d never heard of one of the top hits (XE’s Universal Currency Converter), and that Mapquest made the front page.
